Patti's Quiche - Featured in Deep Freeze Christmas
Easy and great tasting!
This quiche only requires 2 eggs.
Freezes and microwaves well.
1 ready made pie crust (Pillsbury is my favorite)
1 lb of Jimmy Dean (or other brand) hot pork sausage
1 small onion, diced
1/2 of green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of mayonaise
2 Tlbs cornstarch
2 cups of cheddar cheese, grated
1 small can mushrooms, chopped (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Spray quiche dish or pie plate with non-stick spray and line with pie crust
In a large skillet, brown on medium heat the sausage, onions, and bell pepper. Drain and allow to cool slightly.
In a large bowl mix together remaining ingredients.
After sausage mixture is allowed to cool slightly, add to bowl and mix to blend all ingredients
Pour into pie crust and bake at 350 degress for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean
