About Marian
A native of South Louisiana, Marian P. Merritt's passion for the written word began as a child reading on her grandparents' front porch swing—a practice that transported her and inspired her to explore worlds beyond her small community south of New Orleans.

Driven by her roots and her love of the mountains, Marian specializes in Inspirational Southern Women's Fiction and Romance which connects her two loves—the south and the mountains.
She holds a diverse educational background, including a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and an Accounting Certificate from the University of South Alabama.

Marian writes from her home in Colorado, aiming to create the same powerful, grounding experience for her readers that the authors of her childhood created for her.

This bayou girl is glad to be back living in the mountains. She doesn't miss sweltering humidity and swarms of mosquitoes. But still loves her Southern roots, boudin, says y’all, and can make a killer roux. That's why you'll find a Louisiana/Colorado connection in each of her books.
