Baked Potato Chowder - Deep Freeze Christmas

Great for crowds and because it's baked in the oven no need to stand over a stove.

Baked Potato Chowder - Deep Freeze Christmas


  • 8 cups of raw potatoes, diced

  • 4 cups of chicken broth

  • 1/2 large onion, diced

  • 3 cans of cream of chicken soup

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 8 oz (1 block) of cream cheese, cubed


  • Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.

  • In a large aluminum pan or roasting pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray, combine first 5 ingredients 

  • Bake in oven at 325 degrees uncovered until potatoes are done.

  • Add the cream cheese and stir in until melted

  • Top with bacon bits or chopped bacon, grated cheese and a pinch of chives when serving.
