What message do you hope readers gain from your novel?
I am a perpetually busy person with an online magazine to run, a family to tend to, a full-time job, books to review, and my own book to promote, not to mention a ton of deadlines coming up for various things. Eeek!
I had a friend who was harmed in a similar way and I thought it would make for a compelling story.
Most? The edginess. Least? Nothing. I loved it all.
Keep learning and be willing to grow and you’ll eventually get a book deal.

A true definition of love, faith and the ability to find joy even in the most trying circumstances.
Next book up is It’s Not About Him. I signed a contract for this book Saturday so it’s guaranteed to release in Sept 2009.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book? Least?
Tell us a little about yourself?
My story is about Annie, a young woman with a bright future…until she is attacked and permanently damaged. As the story unfolds, she is torn between the love of two brothers, both of whom claim to have her best interests at heart, but she doesn’t know which brother to choose. Plus, she is still trying to make sense of what happened and heal from the attack.
Getting my book into bookstores when there is not mass distribution and often stores want to carry my book but they run into barriers that make it difficult to order them.
What has been the most unexpected challenge you've had with becoming a published author?
Tell us a little about your main character and how you developed him/her?
I wanted to create a flawed heroine whose tendency is to want to make everyone happy and she cares a lot about how other people see her.
